Project 10: Schöneiche bei Berlin.

Apartment project for a young family near Berlin.

This interior design project was realized for a young family in an apartment with a classic, almost vintage feel. While the building isn't new, it offers a significant advantage: high ceilings that lend the space a sense of spaciousness and a distinctive atmosphere. At the same time, the design presented some challenges – particularly a very narrow hallway that required the integration of a functional wardrobe solution without obstructing the passageway.

One of the key tasks was the design of the living area. A sliding door system disrupted the room's flow and had to be integrated into the design. By using wood paneling, this structure was elegantly concealed and simultaneously transformed into a functional TV zone. All technical elements and cables were seamlessly integrated, while subtle lighting adds depth, warmth, and vibrancy to the room.

At the client's request, indirect ceiling lighting with classic moldings was also installed. This was harmoniously combined with the TV zone lighting, creating a cohesive overall look. A particular highlight is a large-format artwork by a Ukrainian artist, which lends the room personality and emotional depth.

The furnishings were selected with a focus on comfort and design: a high-quality armchair from a well-known brand ensures maximum relaxation, while a convertible sofa offers flexible usage options. High-quality lighting from renowned manufacturers enhances the atmosphere and creates targeted accents.

Another focus was on the optimal use of space. Custom-made built-in furniture was installed in the study, efficiently utilizing every corner. Additional storage solutions for household items and clothing were also integrated here – a functional compensation for the limited space in the hallway. All elements were combined into a calm, harmonious composition that appears light and airy while offering maximum functionality.

The bathroom was also reimagined: the use of color – including on the ceiling – created an expressive space with its own character, seamlessly integrated into the overall concept.

A major advantage in the project was the client's openness to color. This allowed for bolder color schemes in the hallway and bathroom, giving the entire interior a unique and vibrant feel.

The result is a well-designed, functional, and inviting living space that perfectly combines aesthetics and everyday practicality.
